adidas ACE 15.1 – Solar Blue/ Solar Yellow/ Core Black

adidas have dropped a fresh lick of paint on their ACE 15.1 silo, designed for the playmakers who want ultimate control and like to dominate play in the middle of the park.

We were already impressed with the launch colourway of Solar Yellow/ Black, and then the second release of the plain black version, but the Solar Blue release certainly gives these two a run for their money as we approach the new season. adidas has placed a lot of faith in their new releases, with just two collections replacing the legendary Predator, 11Pro, Nitrocharge and F50 ranges. Many were sceptical about the move, but two solid releases in the form of the ACE and X series have seen many of those doubts put to rest.

The ACE 15 aims to offer players complete control, with the 3D CTRL/WEB surface giving enhanced grip on the ball in all weather conditions. The NON STOP GRIP (NSG) (much like NikeSkin) adds texture to the upper for incredible touch, allowing players complete control over the ball in any situation. One of the biggest features on both the new silos are the stud layout, with adidas GROUND/CONTROL giving you perfect grip when on both artificial and firm ground, making it ideal for players who are switching between 5-a-side and league football at the weekends.

Unlike the X, the ACE features iconic adidas branding in the form of the 3 stripes on the outside of the boot. On the Solar Blue colourway these are doused in Solar Yellow, allowing them to pop and really send home the message that these are the most important adidas release for years as they look to rejuvenate their boot collection.

The ACE 15.1 in Solar Blue are available to pre-order from www.adidas.co.uk and various other stockists immediately, and are set to be released in August 2015.

What are your thoughts? Let us know whether you’ll be wearing these come the weekend in the comments below!
