Chelsea and Adidas today revealed the new 2015/16 home kit to kick off their ‘If it’s not blue, it will be’ campaign. The campaign focuses on the players’ determination to dominate both on home soil and in Europe, and the shirt will be worn on the Blues’ pre-season tour of the USA.
An innovative campaign, it will feature Vine videos of first team players such as Diego Costa, John Terry, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Gary Cahill and more, who are all seen altering the world around them.
The home shirt stays true to Chelsea’s past, taking inspiration from the 1980’s much like Manchester United’s Adidas kit is set to do. White and red trim adorns the collar, sleeves, shorts and socks, with vertical pinstripes celebrating Chelsea’s history having been present on many of their strips in the past 30 years. It also comes complete with a fingerprint woven into each shirt, symbolising each individuals identity and aiming to closer connect with the fans.
The new shirt also includes the latest adidas performance technologies designed to allow players to be faster and more comfortable on the field. The shirt includes climacool ventilation technology designed to help keep the body cool and dry through breathable materials, fabrics and special stitching which provides greater freedom of movement and comfort without sacrificing flexibility and resilience.
The home kit will be available to buy from the 22nd July at adidas and Chelsea own-retail stores, specialist sports retailers and e-commerce channels worldwide.
